The Hampshire and Isle of Wight MG branch is fortunate to have been nominated as one of the thirty charities for which the Liphook and District Businessmen's Association (LiDBA) raise funds. This association helps the young, elderly and disabled in the local community.

At present LiDBA holds two events a year, a Race Night and a Charity Cycle Ride. Earlier this year some members of our branch went to the Race Night, an event which they thoroughly enjoyed and which the branch could never attempt to organise ourselves.
In July, I had to raise a team to enter a cycle ride covering 25 miles.
Such is the commitment of our members, their relations and friends in our
branch, that I managed 10 entries for the 25 mile ride, (one being a Myasthenic)
and 4 Junior entries (one who had just learnt to ride a bicycle). The Juniors
were asked to cycle as many circuits of a 1/4 mile track, as they could
manage.
The profit that LiDBA raised at the event was shared amongst the charities taking part and MGA receieved a total of £499.30 from this event.
